Here are 2 projects done by my sweet 8 year old niece. The first one is a book report based on a book we read together about Marian Wright Edelman. The book was complex and full of words too hard to explain but she managed to think up a diorama of an ongoing event in the life of this amazing advocate for children. This diorama uses an old shoebox, paper, wire, and glue. Then she painted a happy-looking Marian talking to children.
The second project was a tiny - 1.5"x1.5" - book for her older
sister. Full of things she admires about Didi (as she calls her) and an
adorable gift that I hope Didi keeps forever.
